Thank you for your interest in the International Baccalaureate Programme at Mount Pleasant High School! We are excited to work with you and your student on the path to applying and gaining acceptance into the Middle Years Programme, Grades 9-10. Our class of 2028 application will be online through the Brandywine School District's Choice process. The Choice process begins on November 6, 2023 and closes on January 10, 2024. There will be three opportunities to complete the writing assessment:

November 29, 2023 at 4:30pm

December 13, 2023 at 4:30pm

January 16, 2024 at 6:30pm- Jeanne Beadle will be hosting the IB writing assessment.
Students will be asked to log on to a Zoom call and the link will be available on this site 2 days prior to each session. They will be given a writing prompt via a shared screen from the moderator. They will have 45 minutes to write. When they are finished, they will submit their writing via Google share or email attachment. All writing must be submitted within 5 minutes of completing the prompt.
Students are welcome to leave the meeting as soon as they are finished.
Once all writing assessments are complete and recommendations have been submitted, families may be contacted to schedule an interview if more information is needed. All interviews will be conducted via Zoom or Google teams. Students will be notified of their acceptance status through the Choice application notification system.

IB Teacher Recommendations and Information
After completing the online school choice application for the IB Programme, every applicant must submit the link below to their 8th grade teachers in each of the following subjects.
